what is this?
Well, anonymous Internet denizen, this blog is the educated (if rather polemical) opinion of a Sarah Lawrence undergraduate who likes reading the Bible and learning about its history and the different traditions that arose out of it. The issues that I take are with: people who claim the Bible as a source of ultimate truth without having read it, or without having read it very closely; and people who have read the Bible, but can't do so without projecting onto it what they want to see. At best, these people are disrespecting a text that has potential for good in it; at worst, they're willfully misleading others, taking away their ability and desire to make their own conclusions based on good information, abusing their trust and duping them into a poisonous state of naivety — and it is my mission, here, to ferret them out and disagree with them in a public forum.
